Saying "this system of thing will never change" is code for social irresponsibility. There is no need to do anything to better the community if it is rotten to the core. The guilt of contributing to its apathy and decay is blown away by the winds of the coming Armageddon. Fools.

I guess I was a bit flippant. I am not married and have no children. I was single for the kingdom and a pioneer till armageddon type, very motivated. I developed diabetes and it was very convenient to back off. Others have done the same simply by slowing down to a crawl. Lower hours till none are reported. Canceling talk assignments over time makes you unreliable and they won't assign them as redily. If you're an elder you can always say you need to take a break and then slow to a crawl till they say its better not to serve. I don't know how to handle a wife and kids but you'll find many here have done so. Start a thread How do I fade when I have a family? I'm sure you'll get swamped with answers. Good luck.

If there was one elder they need two as you know. If you don't deny it you will be on their radar. They may ask for a letter to confirm it. I imagine they may approach you to confirm that your feelings are valid and not an emotional outburst or symptom of depression. In the end you're out of there. Welcome. Make new friends, go to school and take time to give "worldly" people a chance.

I commented on these videos three years ago. Propagandatechniques deleted all my comments because I didn't slam the sincere brother attempting to kindly answer his questions. Yes they do show the measure of defensiveness of the brother in the back, but just as powerfully it shows the sincerity and restraint of the brother who did the majority of the talking.

It was never established that the JW was an elder. If not then he could honestly say he has no literature that is for him especially. Word games I know but honest. Miketheatheist is in attack mode. When someone asks questions that he knows the answer to and wastes another's time I think they are dishonest. I wouldn't have given him the time of day. He was simply trying to torpedo the man. He was there sincerely and wasn't treated right. He showed the patience. Yes he choked on anwering questions about the book. Perhaps he hadn't seen it before? Either way I've never been a fan of these ambush videos.

Obama makes a mistake while carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and he's declared incompetant. Sarah carrys the weight of the hairspray on her head and she can't even get right what Paul Revere did. Big difference I think. I hope that she runs. It would be so much fun.
